How specialist training works
Oracle7 isn't one model trained on everything. It's a frozen core with verified specialists in front of it. Here's how a specialist is made, what a "training run" means here, and what opens up with the Hugging Face release.
Coming soon. The full training guide, the downloadable gate and the training runs depend on the Hugging Face release of Oracle7. Until then, you can build and check a specialist with the starter kit and submit it on staging, where every submission is reviewed by hand.
What a specialist is
A specialist is a small, exact module: a formula, a table, or a set of checked facts, with named sources. It answers inside its own lane and says nothing outside it. Every specialist has a one-byte address, and every answer Oracle7 gives shows the path of specialists that produced it.
What "training" means for Oracle7
Oracle7 is built, not trained by gradient descent. Nothing inside a specialist is learned by adjusting millions of weights, and adding a specialist never changes what the others know. A training run for a specialist is the process of turning sources into a verified part:
01Sources
Public-domain or openly licensed data: standards, tables, textbooks, fact sheets. Named in every answer.
02Build
The rules and tables become one function, answer(text), that answers, declines with a reason, or stays silent.
03Sealed test
Dev questions to build against, and held-out questions locked away and run once.
04The gate
It stands only if it beats Oracle7 on its own sealed test, makes no more than 1 confident wrong answer (or 2%), and makes nothing else worse.
That is how Prometheus7 built the 99 standing specialists, and how an outside specialist gets its address. When a specialist is wrong in public, the wrong-answer bounty catches it, the error is traced to that one specialist, and it's fixed and re-checked there. Nothing else moves.
